WWE- My Opinions

Hello here to all that are avid impact readers. I'm Damien. Before i continue i say this all the time but im 16, not some dumbass 5th grade kid. Just so you know. This blog mya get long but includes most important opinions about issues in professional wrestling today. I know most people may/may not agree but it is MY opinion, if you don't agree leave a comment but please don't bash my opinions too much. Thank-you and have a good read.

My first order of buisness is Raw. I have watched raw ever since i was 1 and a half. I have loved it. With tha said, the best year has been a dissappoinment. I would come home & not do my homework & watch monday night raw. It meant more to me than life. This year has been really..... sluggish. I came home today and watched and I thought to myself, this was the best episode i have seen for a while. It looks as if Raw is coming together. Legacy were great on the mic & their match-up with henry&mvp was really good. Swagger, Miz, Bourne & Kingston have really progressed in the last couple months. I think Raw is becoming a watchable program week-in-week-out. Raw's younger superstars are devolping adn I'm really interested to see what happens.

I do have some complaints though. I do think that Bourne really was called up to Raw a bit to quick, in one man's opinion. I think wwe should've kept him on ECW. He has taken his time to really find himself but i think the way he has been booked has a factor. He was rea;;y in the ECW title picture but kind of moved to a mid-carder role. But he was beating Chavo w/ the help of Hornswaggle. Bourne has a lot more potential and i just think that hornswaggle should be kept out ofit. The crows is alwasy hot for him. Imagine Chavo vs. Bourne on raw without interference of horny? What a matchup!

That brings me to my next point. Chavo. I think that this guys was booked pathetically for a number of months. His 'feud' with horny was a waste of precious t.v. time. Chavo, as I have stated before, went from a cruiserweight champ. to having blind-folded matches with a dwarf (no pun intended). He has a lot more potential and in-ring-ability than that.

This brings me to the WWE's excuse of a 'PG-13 rating'. As you may know by now, I'm avidlly against the wwe pg-13 approach to wrestling. What about all of us 'true wrestling fans' who have watched pro-wrestling for years now from the 80's onwards. we have all seen rock vs austin, hart vs hart, bret vs shawn i mean we go from top notch feuds of the past to sh##y rivalries from 'worn out' creative writers. I believe pocket would make a ten times beter writer & would work for free. They have the best jobs in teh world & they still produce the same rivalries because they are tired. I think we have all seen cena vs orton or hhh for long enough. Speaking of orton & cena, Hell In A Cell. One of the most demotic structures in the entire wwe. It is brutal & intense and has no blood? Every hell in a cell match should include blood. Orton vs taker. They both bleed? Why have no blood. Why pander to children & their parents who wont let their kids see blood. How can professional wrestling become pg? When was the last time we saw a first blood match? Or a moment when the crowds chant holy sh## or E-C-Dub, E-C-Dub? A moment to remember? Us loyal wwe older fans deserve to see thios type of stuff. Not some hell in a cell with weapons or blood? I mean come on. I think I have said enough about that.

TNA. total Nonstop Action wrestling. Many people on here @ impatwrestling.com are haters, some are fans. I say, who gives a fu##? TNA has got good younger wrestling personalities but also has wwe-has-beens still hogging the main-event light. Booker T, Kurt Angle, Scott Steiner, Kevin Nash, Sting, Tazz, Lashley & know professional wrestling icon- Hulk Hogan. Hogan is WAY past his used-by-date. I don't mean to offend anyone here but I mean he couldn't wrestle a main-event quality wrestling match that went for 15-20 minutes. I don't believe TNA has a future and is a fail.

ECW is meant to be Extreme Championship Wrestling. When was the last EXTREME match we saw? Christian vs. Dreamer. No blood. (ofcourse) and a botched ending on a car door. But am I just living in the past? are the holy sh## moments of professional wrestling gone? Is ther any more memorable rivalries or moments to come? ECW has become a televised FCW. Up-and-coming superstars will spend there time jobbing away on ECW move to raw or sd and have to really work hard if they want respect in the locker room. I hope our E-C-Dub moments are not too far in the past

This is my last point as I hope you haev enjoyed so far. Why not bring back ............... THE WWE CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP? This is an opportunity for young talents to really earn some T.V time and really work their way up the table. Jimmy Wang Yang. When wa sthe last time we saw him on t.v.? With the cruiserweight title we could see him on a week to week basis competing for tthe title against the likes of finlay, curt hawkins, jamie noble, funaki, gredory helms plus many more. It gives alot of guys T.V. time and something to really compete for.

Thankyou very much for your time and I hope you have enjoyed reading this blog. I wonder if I am living in the past. Is our holy sh## moments gone? is the E-C-Dub moments far behind us? Is our rivalries to remember for generations buried never to be found again? Comment and let me know what you think about this blog. remember this is one man's opinion and I'm welcome to yuor opinions & comments
Kind Regards, Damien

I applaud your effort Omen. Wrestling IS family oriented. Wrestling IS PG. The Attitude Era was a period of transitional desperation.

PG-13 is a movie rating, not a TV rating. As a matter of fact, TV-PG is like the middle ground as far as TV ratings go. We can't revel on the Attitude Era just because it had "moments." Heck, every era has "moments." The problem is the Attitude Era is really over hyped. I can watch the programs with my parents now and not have to worry about curse words and all that other ying yang that came with that time. That era is in the past and it needs to stay there. Writers are the issue, not the rating system.

People forget that WCW during the NWO years wasn't rated R so you don't need mature rated stuff to get across to fans. but you do need good content. Something the WWE doesn't have right now.

Kudos Damien (Omen was funny I have to admit..... but hey, I got branded Polly Pocket for the first year I was on the site! all fun and games) this is by far your best work.... who cares about a few typos... we ALL do it! and Stramey... dude go take your face for a sh##, trying to bullt a 16 yr old kid who has blogged double your numbers in the past 3 months! Jackass!

You're not living in the past dude, more longing for quality to return to our tv sets, which makes us compare to the past! The main issue is the rating and the writers!

The rating has regardless of what anyone says restricted what the writing team can produce.... but on the other hand I do feel that the writers have been feeling sorry for themselves and have gotten very very VERY lazy. Itwas reported recently that they are 'fed up' with having to book so much tv inbetween so many PPV's...  That to me is a pathetic excuse for guys who have jobs that I would sacrifice a limb for. Although I can agree that there are 2or 3 PPV's too many on the calander, but having the chance to write for WWE would is an honour not a chor!

ECW should be focused on the Cruiserweight division, giving the guys on the show a perpose... and you are spot on with your comment on Evan Bourne... he was drafted to Raw way to early, and considering that he has a following then it's logical to keep him drawing viewers on ECW rather than burry him on the big show...

But the main issue in pro wrestling is WWE having no immidiate competiton, which leads to Vince playing it cool and not having to do more than the bare minimum... which leads to slacking standards in booking/writing... which leads to traditional booking being replaced by gimmick matches.....

One reason I don't think the PG rating is as big an issue as it is made out to be is that even under TV-14 or whatever, we'd still have the same guys in the main event that are main eventing now.

My opinion about blood not being used very often is this.  I don't remember anyone from 98 to whenever they stopped using blood raving about a match because of all the blood.  Now, the first thing being commented on a match is....WTF?!?!?! NO BLOOD?!?!?!  Matches do not need blood to be good.  In terms of HIAC, I was there live for Edge vs Taker at Summerslam last year and there was no blood and I though the match was great.  Blood should be used sparingly, as it gives it more of an impact.  Pocket mentioned it the other day, people mark out for blood.  When Flair bladed with Jericho that night on Raw, it was great to see.  But it tends to lose its impact if used all the time.

What impact would Cena bleeding have had on the Iron Man Match really? Like I said before, it still would've been the 1000th Cena vs. Orton match. Blood wouldn't change that fact. Getting rid of the PG rating would just give us a more evil Orton vs. Cena. A "funnier" DX squashing everyone in sight. It may fly at first but that won't last. There are bigger problems.

Fans, like I already said before, mark out hard for a guy bleeding, they go nuts... especially for a guy who they dispise like John "superman" Cena

I don't agree that he should've bled in the crowd at all, thats very wrong... but you have to give the fans what they want. Not all the time but on occasions. He was planned to bleed in the Cell match but fu##ed up by dropping the blade. Following this was a huge deal made about it bacause everyone thought there was a strict 'no blood ruling' in effect... so I as well as Monkie beleive that this could've been a work! After all Orton hit him hard with the monitor and then went straight for the mic and hit him damn hard with it too!

Myself I wouldn't have cleaned him up because thats never ever happened before, if anything just abort the plan of fighting in the crowd and head up the ramp to the pyro.... but tell me one thing.

What's the difference between Cena bleeding to Flair bleeding bucket loads in the Mania build up? Linda wasn't running for Senate in March....

Enough said I believe?
