SHADOW'S PREDICTIONS: WWE BRAGGING RIGHTS
Well, I haven't been watching much wrestling programming lately...but I figured I would give my best guess at who was going to win at tonight's pay per view event. So, lemme get down to it!
TEAM SMACKDOWN (CHRIS JERICHO, R-TRUTH, FINLAY, D. H. SMITH, TYSON KIDD, KANE, & MATT HARDY) VS.
TEAM RAW (TRIPLE H, SHAWN MICHAELS, THE BIG SHOW, MARK HENRY, CODY RHODES, JACK SWAGGER, & KOFI KINGSTON):
This is gonna be one busy match, to say the least...especially since it's a one-fall only for the win. I think it would be more entertaining to have this set as an elimination style tag match, but I guess that's what they do with Survivor Series (if they even keep it named that this year). I was a little perplexed to see that Team Smackdown was completely changed this week, but I think this team sounds better than the original in my opinion. As much as I think Smackdown has the better "wrestling" team and would love to see them pull off the win, I am pretty much expecting Team Raw to come off with the win since it's got the nuisance team of DX on there. Lord knows McMahon would hate to see his #1 show come off as the weaker brand.
My Pick: Team Raw
KELLY KELLY, GAIL KIM, & MELINA VS MICHELLE McCOOL, NATALYA, & BETH PHOENIX:
As much as I'd like to see some life breathed back into the Diva's division, I don't hold very high expectations for this match. Most of the diva showings we get lately have been nothing but botched move after botched move within just a couple minute match. I wouldn't even consider this a PPV quality match, but I guess they have to fill that three hour time quota somehow, right? I'm gonna go for the Smackdown team to win this one.
My Pick: Michelle McCool, Natalya, & Beth Phoenix
JOHN MORRISON VS THE MIZ:
Hmmm...the only match that I'd consider paying to watch tonight. I think these two guys could be the future of the WWE, but no...they have to constantly be buried by the likes of John Cena, Triple H, and Randy Orton. I'm glad we saw Morrison go over to Smackdown for that reason, so I'm hoping he gets his shot sometime soon! This match will probably be the match of the night, so I hope it gets plenty of time and lots of action. To me, The Miz has become such a great personality and can so easily tick the crowd off with his comments...so I'm gonna pull for him as tonight's winner.
My Pick: The Miz
60-MINUTE IRON MAN WWE TITLE MATCH - JOHN CENA VS RANDY ORTON:
Ugh, the only match on the card that I'm looking forward to even less than the diva tag match...why oh why do they give these two such a match?! Over one-third of the show is going to be consumed with this crapfest, and it just makes me cringe. Haven't we seen enough of these two in the last few years? I guess not, so thinks McMahon. I can only hope Randy Orton will pull off the win so John Cena will be off of RAW, but I doubt we will ever EVER be that lucky. McMahon would never dump his golden ticket of his "#1 show" now, would he?? Or will we the fans actually be surprised??
My Pick: John Cena
FATAL 4-WAY WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH - THE UNDERTAKER VS CM PUNK VS REY MYSTERIO VS BATISTA:
I am curious to see where this one is gonna go. The Undertaker has always been my favorite wrestler, and as much as I am excited to see him with the title again, I doubt he will be holding onto the title after tonight. With so many nagging injuries and working such a limited schedule, I would have to see it being passed onto CM Punk or Batista. I can't see Mysterio getting the win at all, especially after a drug suspension and weighing less than my scrawny ass does (which also makes me wonder why he's even in this match)...but the win will most likely (and unfortunately) go back to McMahon's favorite Smackdown behemoth of Batista.
My Pick: Batista
Anyways...that's my pick for tonight's PPV event. Anyone wanna leave me your thoughts or predictions? Go right ahead! I love hearing everyone's thoughts on this kinda thing.
